Building Tenants: Please Click on your building address - be prepared to enter your Password.New York City Local Law 26 of 2004 required that the Fire Commissioner adopt standards, procedures and requirements for the orderly evacuation of occupants from any office building, including evacuation of persons necessitated by explosion, biological, chemical or hazardous material incidents or releases, natural disasters or other non-fire emergency, or threats thereof. LL 26 specifically states that the Education of building occupants will be critical to the successful implementation of the Emergency Action Plan, as building occupants must understand the reasons for complying with the procedures that have been developed for their safety. Using the Password and User Name supplied by your manager, you can visit that area of this site devoted to the building you work in. There you will learn about evacuation, partial evacuation, in-building relocation, sheltering in place, contact personnel, and other compelling topics specific to your building.
